I recently returned from an incredible 4 weeks in Africa and this is the first painting I completed after my travels back at the studio. I watched this African elephant from my vehicle throw dust all over herself. It was a very peaceful and humbling moment. Naturally I named this Amani, which means ‘peace’ in Swahili. Her calm composure was sweet to capture.
